Dear all
The State of Victoria in Australia where I reside (Melbourne)
suffers its worst Bushfire disaster in history with over 200
fatality and counting. Many lost their houses and family members.
Enormous property losses and vast area of bush, forest,
agriculture and farmland were destroyed by the fire due to extreme
drought, wind and heat starting on Black Saturday 7 February 2009.
More Bushfire is expecting till Summer heat and winds settle in
coming weeks.
Chinese Australian Community as a whole is doing their
citizen duties as well to raise fund to help The Bushfire
victims to rebuild their homes etc. via Australian Red
Cross Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund 2009 and other bodies
like such as The Salvation Army charity organisations etc
If you wish to donate, please do so. Your generosity and
kindness will be much appreciated. We suggest that you donate to

belong to, is going to have a Charity Lunch Function to raise more

Hi All
The 2009 Victorian Bushfire is one of the worst disasters
Australia has ever seen. The Chinese Association of Victoria (CAV)
is registered with the Australian Red Cross to raise much needed
funds to assist individuals and communities affected by the
bushfires.
CAV is organising a Charity Lunch Sunday 15
March where all proceeds will go to the 2009
Victorian Bushfire Fund. Please assist us promote this
event and forward the attached flyer to your network. We hope
to see you with your friends and family on this day to support this
good cause.
